Mount Palomar was the first grower of Sangiovese in the Temecula Valley. The 2013 Sangiovese is complex with tastes of strawberry, boysenberry, plum, Bartlett pear, cloves, and pipe tobacco.
We use the hard to find Dolcetto varietal to create a big, bold red in the Superiore style. The 2014 Dolcetto has a firm tannin structure with bright but complex tastes of sour cherry, green apple, cranberry, and dark plum.
