2010 Castelletto Sangiovese (Red) Award Winning Wine! Retail Price: $28 per bottle, Wine Club Price $22.40 Now available to everyone! Previously a wine club exclusive, our Castelletto Sangiovese is now available to everyone for tasting and for purchase. This is an award winning wine that received a Bronze medal at the Toast of The Coast Wine Competition.

Mount Palomar Winery has a long tradition of producing Sangiovese, planting the first of these vines in the Temecula Valley.  The 2010 Sangiovese is richly scented with lilac and black currants, and has a smooth velvety feel in the mouth.  The tastes are of plum with touches of strawberry complimented by hints of clove and nutmeg.  This wine pairs nicely with red meats, BBQ, pastas with red sauces.

2013 Dolcetto (Red) Award Winning Wine!Retail Price: $35 per bottle, Wine Club Price $28 This award winning wine has two medals - a bronze at the Toast of the Coast Wine Competition, and a silver at the Riverside International Wine Competition! The table wine that’s fit for a Queen, a bottle of Dolcetto was given as a gift to Queen Anne of England as coronation gift. This is Mount Palomar’s first and limited release of Dolcetto, a wonderfully deep varietal from the Piedmont region of Northern Italy. Though this wine can benefit from extended bottle aging, the tradition is to bottle it earlier than other reds to preserve the bold fruit essence.  The nose is full with scents of cherry, blackberry and hints of rose, and it has a bright taste with currants and blackberry balanced by a firm tannin structure.
