Mount Palomar Winery in Temecula is proud to release a new red blend, the winner of our 2016 Wine Blending Competition, Miscela Buona:
This unexpected red blend is made up of 40% Sangiovese, 30% Syrah, 20% Zinfandel, and 10% Viognier. Our winemaker selected it as the best blend in our Annual Club Member's blending competition, beating out some very tough competition mixed by other members. According to winemaker James Rutherford "...The team created a new wine that is very fragrant, fruit forward, and earthy. The scents are heavy with sweet spice and floral notes of lily and carnation. The taste is of Boysenberry, dark fruit and cocoa balanced against black pepper and orange bitters. This wine is round and full in the mouth. It is a great pairing for red meat and spicy Mexican dishes."
This new release is a wine club exclusive, taking the place of our 2011 Castelletto Trovato on the exlusive menu and making that wine open to the general public.
