Strumming along with subtle notes of Cranberry, smoke, and lavender, our 2014 Troubadour is a kind of leather jacket wearing red blend composed mostly of Petit Verdot and Tannat. This wine is dark and bold, exhibiting inky purple and reddish hues. The tannin structure of the 2014 Troubadour will stand up well to red meats and strong cheeses. For those with a keen nose, you might even pick up a hint of buttered popcorn, which is derived from a volatile compound known as diacetyl, a natural by-product of red wine making. We hope you enjoy this head-banging, rock and rolling red!
