2016 Cinsaut Blush
Our 2016 Cinsaut Blush (pronounced "sun-so") continues to be a popular and refreshing wine here at Mount Palomar! This wine grape has it's origins once again in the south of France and is one of the permitted red varieties in the infamous wines of Chateauneuf-du Pape. The 2016 release has aromas of grapefruit, rose water, honeydew melon, star fruit, kiwi and hints of star jasmine. This blush ( or rose' if you prefer) is easy to drink and pairs well with seafood and poultry dishes. It offers just a small touch of sweetness to keep it interesting but is far cry from that other famous rose' wine commonly found on grocery store shelves which is white (actually it's pink) and rhymes with "infidel". :P
